Our log cabin is located in the well-known cross-country town of Bärnkopf, where a lovely holiday apartment furnished with plenty of wood awaits you. After an eventful day hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing or swimming, the house is the perfect place to enjoy a few cosy and relaxing hours. Family-oriented atmosphere, warm hospitality, healthy air and wonderful vast unspoiled forests await you on a holiday here at our establishment. Wouldn't this also be something for your family?

Location: Our establishment is located approx. 60 km north of Vienna in the direction of Znojmo and only 15 km from the border crossing point of Klein-Haugsdorf. The central location and proximity to the Czech Republic offer you numerous excursion options.

In the immediate surrounding area, the romantic churches in Schöngraben, the Prantauerkirche in Wullersdorf, the golf course in Schönborn and numerous cycle routes all offer sightseeing, experiences and relaxation. Thanks to the mild climate in this area, the market village of Pöggstall, located in the southern part of the Waldviertel, has been known for generations as the "Merano of the Waldviertel". Pöggstall, at 462m above sea level, is the "secret tip" for anyone wanting to escape the noise and stress of the city. The apartment has been awarded 4 suns and is located just a short walk from the historical market square. The quiet location on a small rise offers a view of the area.
The 50m² apartment has been newly renovated and is fully equipped. I furnished it with loving attention to detail. The small garden has a sitting area perfect for enjoying your breakfast. Shopping in the village is within walking distance. 
 

Our guesthouse enjoys a sunny, peaceful location in the therapeutic climate resort of Bärnkopf at an altitude of approx. 1000 m. Often with wonderful far-reaching views above the blanket of mist.

Newly designed guest rooms with satellite TV, radio and wireless Internet access await you. The solid wood furniture creates a special indoor climate - non-smoking establishment. The leisure centre complete with tennis court, curling alley, playground and biotope is located directly opposite.

You can reach our pond for bathing and fishing within just a few minutes' walk. We offer guided tours for hikers too! Listen to the peace - on our meadow behind the house, in a lounger on the sunny terrace or under the shade of the cherry tree. The ideal starting point for cycle tours - access to a signposted mountain biking network of over 2000 km.

Pearl of the Tullnerfeld

We are located approx.50 km west of Vienna, close to the Danube. You can visit the towns of Tulln, Krems (Wachau ), or St. Pölten, which are approx. 30 minutes away by bus or train. Our guests can choose either big or small cycle routes (Franz Schubert Radweg), which are all well signposted.

 There are also many well signposted hiking routes (in our stunning forests, to the viewing tower, the corkscrew),  giving the opportunity to enjoy nature!

 Not to be missed are the traditional Austrian wine restaurant (Heurige) in the Ahrenberg Kellergasse alley, where there are always culinary delicacies - a good snack with Traisental wine!!

 In our community we also offer sporting opportunities, such as the bathing pond beneath the picturesque Schloss-Sitzenberg, a tennis court, a health and nature walk around the pond, bike hire, riding possibilities, fishing possibilities and much more.

Cultural events are also on the programme For example, the summer games in the castle  and further events from our club in the municipality.

We welcome you in Loich, a small town in the upper Pielach Valley, which is also known as "Dirndltal" because of the large presence of the Cornel. The municipal area is nestled between Schnabelstein, Eisenstein and the Pielach in Lower Austria's Alpine foothills, "where holidays are still holidays".

Our house is on the edge of a settlement in the immediate vicinity of the traditional Mariazell Railway and the Pielachtaler pilgrimage. Our location offers itself as a starting point for the numerous attractions in the area. Just an hour by car, you can reach the capital Vienna or Wachau. In addition to the available brochures we will gladly give you very personally tips for your free time.

Families, recreation seekers and nature lovers will find everything here for a successful holiday in unspoilt nature and in a warm, hospitable environment. Located 4 km away you will find supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, doctor, pharmacy and other services.

No matter whether climbers or walkers, mountain bikers or cyclists, there is a suitable route for everyone. Some of the marked paths and trails pass right by the house, and under the right conditions, your host will also accompany you on one of your MTB tours. Enjoy bathing fun for young and old in the summer pools in town or the idyllic natural bathing spots along the nearby Pielach.

Arrive, unpack and relax, something you can really do at our guesthouse. Marvel at the charming countryside between the Danube and the foothills of the Alps. Our guesthouse is situated just off the main road in Prinzersdorf, 7 km from the state capital of St. Pölten, surrounded by greenery. The right place for all those who love and want to enjoy nature. Cyclists, golfers, ramblers, culture vultures and fun lovers. Guests are all ages are welcome here. Indulge in true relaxation in our guesthosue with pleasant atmosphere. Our region also offers you the opportunity to partake in many other holiday activities, of course.

Excursion destinations: A wide range  of cultural and leisure activities in the state capital of St. Pölten, Wachau Cultural Landscape and monasteries, excursions to Maria Taferl basilica and to the  pilgrimage site of Mariazell,  nostalgic train rides along the Mariazell train line, and train trips to Vienna. Sporting activities: Direct access to the Pielach Valley cycling route, tennis and beach volleyball courts, natural beach for swimming with playground in the village, indoor tennis courts in Ebersdorf and St. Pölten,  St. Pölten and Maria Taferl golf clubs, horse riding stables nearby, hiking in the Dunkelstein forest, in the Pielach and Traisen valleys, and in the Lower Austrian Alpine foothills. Culinary options: Traditional local food is served in the taverns and there are also  many top restaurants to spoil guests.

Away from traffic and noise, the vineyards on the slopes of the "Saubühel", the Rohrendorfer Hausberg or the Danube meadows invite you to take relaxing walks and bike rides. The numerous wine taverns in Rohrendorf and its cellar lane and of course all the specialties that you can discover on a trip to the Wachau ensure culinary delights.

In our large garden you will find peace and relaxation. Relax in the pool or in a deck chair under the apricot trees. The best way to enjoy a cup of coffee or a glas Rohrendorfer wine is on the covered terrace.
